Design, development, and evaluation of a low-cost smart solar
The design of the smart solar-powered weather station was guided by the need to balance performance, cost, and energy efficiency while ensuring long-term reliability under
Containerized Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are essentially large batteries housed within storage containers. These systems are designed to store energy from renewable sources or the grid and release it when required. This setup offers a modular and scalable solution to energy storage.
In order to compare and evaluate the data received by smart weather station, data was also taken from two national weather stations near the system's test site and the following variables were evaluated: air temperature, humidity, relative pressure, wind speed, wind direction, solar radiation and precipitation. The Current Study introduces a solar smart weather station utilizing IoT for agricultural applications. With the most comprehensive set of measured variables, it achieves the highest correlation (R 2 =0.96) and an accuracy of 85.26 %.
These energy storage containers often lower capital costs and operational expenses, making them a viable economic alternative to traditional energy solutions. The modular nature of containerized systems often results in lower installation and maintenance costs compared to traditional setups.
